纪念碑由一块花岗岩巨石组成，巨石安放在用石板砌成的方形底座上，巨石旁边有一根白色的旗杆。
巨石上固定着一块铜牌。纪念碑位于马塔兰卡斯坦马丁公园的南端。
R.S.L. 纪念了马塔兰卡罗珀河区参与澳大利亚过去冲突的阵亡和退役军人。“让我们不要忘记”。
