植物的多样性意味着一年四季至少有一种植物在开花，为以花蜜为食的动物提供食物和栖身之所。
前往蛇形小屋只能通过四驱车。车辆无法直接到达蛇形小屋水坝——只能到达丛林营地、小屋遗址和入口大门。拉拉平塔步道沿线的露营和多日徒步旅行均需收费。多日徒步旅行和露营地预订必须提前在线完成。
